Day 6 in Darwin - The Northern Territory Museum and Crocodylus Park

Darwin is in the Northern Territory. We first went to the Northern Territory Museum. WOW! It has probably the world's best collection of aboriginal art. I hope the delegates appreciated what they were seeing, I know I was in awe. Unfortunately for my memory and this blog, taking photographs was not allowed.

There was a display of Cyclone Tracy which absolutely destroyed the city in 1974. It flattened the town.

And then there was Sweetheart....a huge crocodile who kept trying to climb into people's boats...so now Sweetheart is stuffed and harms no one!

We also went to Crocodylus Park. We learned about Salties and Freshies...and fed HUGE saltwater crocodiles...and we all got to HOLD a crocodile .... of course many pictures were posted.

Hola Sarah B!
We're back from Mexico, and missing you! It is great to read Judy's blog and keep up w. ALL you've been doing! Everyone here is fine, we'll pick up Bailey this a.m. In Tulum Collie had a squirrel monkey sit on his head, and Soph held a 4 ft. iguana, we swam w/ dolphins too. I can't wait to hear about your adventures, we're so proud of you! Give Christine a hug, and know we're sending you prayers and love! xoxo Mom
