Here we are on Day 12...I'll catch you up later

*I know this is out of order...but I wrote this while we were traveling. I've redone it by breaking it apart day be day...but I don't want to lose the comments - so I'm keeping it here.

G'day Mates!
We just arrived back in Darwin...we've spent the last 3 days out in the middle of nowhere - well sort of. I'll abbreviate here to bring you up to date. Katherine was awesome....we spent all day yesterday out with some aboriginal people. We played the digeridoo, did some painting using the same materials the aboriginal art is from, we went on a bushwalk and learned about many native plants...and for lunch, we ate KANGAROO TAIL. I think about everyone at least tried it.

I think it was the day beforethat we flew in small planes - only hold 7 people - and flew over Kakadu National Park. It was absolutely incredible.

Today we had a travel day....with some stops inbetween. We went to Wengi Falls and swam - it was unbelievably beautiful...and then we stopped and tookmany photos at the termite mounds. Those are huge and unbelievable!

So here we are in Darwin - same hotel we were in about 5 nights ago....and our plane leaves at 6:15 a.m. and we fly to Cairns. Tomorrow night is the first night of our home stay. I think ALL the delegates are REALLY looking forward to it. We will do things together as a delegation for the day tomorrow, then we have a big barbeque with all the families tomorrow evening and go with them from there.

Australia is unbelievable....If you haven't heard much from your sweetheart - assume they're busy and just having too much fun to call home. Plus....there is a vast shortage of phones for themto call internationally on...couple that with multiple P2P delegations - and......

I'll try to update again later, but in case it doesn't happen - we're scheduled to land with many digeradoos at 12:05 p.m.on July 24th...

I hope to write again on this before we leave, but there's no telling what the internet/phone situation will be.

G'day
Judy

Hi Robbie,

It's a bugger we just missed your call - you've been ringing in the middle of the night so we didn't expect a call during daylight hours!!! Glad you're having a good time and 'still have all your limbs.' That's good news! Danny's in Reno but will be back on Sunday. We all miss you. When you get back, everyone, including the Petralia's, will be here - can't wait to have our family back together!

Luv
Mum and Dad

ps Judy, thanks so much for the blog.

JUDY! This is Tia and Brittany from the O'Brien residence! We're having a blast at our homestay. We just went shopping at Coles and we're trying new things for lunch, and dinner will be a new experience for me...DOMINOES! Haha. Anyway, we didn't know how to reach you and we wanted to tell you that we were having a great time. Anyway, g'day mate!

Hi Caitlin, I hope you are feeling better and you are able to scuba tomorrow. The Qantas people found your camera. It is labeled with your name at Baggage Services in the Domestic Terminal. You have to give them this Found Property Nuumber 3687, and describe the camera case when you pick it up. Have fun at the Great Barrier Reef!
